The National Dog Park Association offers free support memberships to all. By fostering collective support we aim to empower each member to help make a positive impact in their local community.

The National Dog Park Association (NDPA) is excited to establish a permanent home right here in Fairhope, Alabama, and the greater Baldwin County community.
We’re looking for local partners, community members, and property owners who can help us find our future location! To make this possible, we are asking for your help.

We are currently searching for:

Open land suitable for developing a safe, accessible, pet‑friendly dog park

An abandoned building or unused commercial space

An old home or structure that could be renovated into a local office and community outreach hub

Our goal is to bring a new resource to the community—a place where pets and their owners can enjoy safe recreation, education, and connection. In addition, we aim to create a local NDPA office that supports both local initiatives and national programs.
By helping us identify potential locations, you play a direct role in building a healthier, more connected, and more pet‑friendly community.

There are NO DUES for becoming a NDPA member. We're a vibrant social community of passionate dog lovers dedicated to promoting innovative dog inclusive projects and better dog parks in their area.
As a member of the NDPA, you join a dynamic network of dog people. We hope to empower our members by supporting community involvement. Issuing dog park certificates and awards for quality dog park management. Hosting exciting local events that foster collaboration and growth in their neighborhood.
Get involved as a leader! As an NDPA Director-at-Large drive local dog friendly development and connect with fellow dog park enthusiasts. We also provide resources to help raise funds for city wide dog welcoming infrastructure, dog park maintenance and repairs and safety needs. We celebrate your contributions with awards and recognition. Together, let’s create a brighter future for our furry friends, the community and parks they love!
